Family Fun

Last night we watched a movie as a family and usually that doesn't include Chance in the watching part. He is usually running around, playing with things that are not toys or just causing some trouble. But last night he sat down and watched the movie just like the other kids. I thought it was picture worthy. Of course when he saw the flash he had to turn and pose for another one. It was just so cute! He is growing up so fast these days, time sure does fly.

Last weekend when the Clovis fest came to town thought we would check it out. Well there are tons of booths up and down the streets. They are all fighting for your attention by giving away free junk. We came away with stickers, some balloons, papers I never read, etc. We wandered over to the ride area, and it was very interesting. The rides looked like they have survived some kind of nuclear attack. The kids went on the Turtle ride and it was just sad. The turtle were missing their heads as you can see from the picture. The few that did have them were strapped on by a bungee cord right through the eye sockets. Of course the kids don't care. Corbin is trying to pretend he is not having fun, as he is too old for the Turtle Ride.

Corbin went on some rides that he thought were for bigger kids, the roller coaster was sure fast!

The slide was high and fast, just right for him but not Cayden.

After seeing how much fun Corbin was having she asked if he would go on the motorcycle ride with her. It was so much fun they rode it twice! After all the excitement of the morning and since the tickets we bought for $20.00 ran out, we had to go home. A fun time was had by all as evidence by the car ride home. Which consisted of complaints, that one person got more Cheerios from Chance's bag than the other! It was so nap time!

Foiled again!

This week for FHE we took the kids to dinner at Red Robin in Manchester Center. Then afterwards the plan was to ride the Carousel. But just as we walked into the restaurant Cayden started complaining of a "hurty tummy". I took her to the bathroom thinking that she just need to go. She started crying and really telling me she was in pain. But she didn't want to miss the rides. So we stayed and ordered our food. Of course 1 minute later she was almost screaming that she wanted to go home. So we got our food to go, which in turn made Corbin upset that we couldn't stay. I had Jason take him over there for a quick ride while they got our order ready to go. I took a quick picture trying to zoom in, piece of junk camera! By this time Cayden was laying down on a booth seat in pain. But then we she really realized that we were leaving, and her not having a ride, she was miraculously better. We left anyway and the entire way home she claimed that she was fine and wanted to go back. Gee what a good time we all had!
Tonight we were outside and Chance wanted to help water the lawn. He had so much fun just watching the water shoot out of the hose like he was a firefighter! Finally when the lawn was almost flooded we had to turn off the hose and come inside. He was not too happy about that at all. Good thing the lawn needs water everyday!

Just Fun!

The kids were getting ready for bed and having a few more minutes of video game time. Cayden put this Shark towel on and it just was so funny. She didn't even know why she was so funny at the time. She is such a silly little girl, always making us laugh.
Just thought I would share our little family comedian! Of course Corbin could be counted on to make a funny face for the camera.
Ok so to clairify, the shark towel is for an infant, way to small for Cayden!

FHE Fun

As part of our FHE on Monday we had the kids take a canoe ride in the pool! It was lots of fun and they might have even learned something. Maybe? Although we were in the pool its still "safe" to wear you life jacket, just in case the current picked up. Ha Ha
