Busy Days

Lots of things have been going on at our house, here is just a few updates.
Corbin received the "Writer of the Month" award. Cayden had a visitor from school spend the weekend with us. And Chance, well he discovered Pop Tarts! Halloween was a fun time for all going with a cousin at Nana's house.
Cambrie went to Church for the first time. She has on a dress Katrina wore as a baby.

More baby pictures

I can't believe that Cambrie is two weeks old now. Her first week of life sure was busy and stressful. She was 3 weeks early and that caused her to be jaundice. The doctor wanted a blood test to make sure her bilirubin levels were not too high. Well that first test was a disaster, the tech took 45 min to get some blood. And then called us and said the test was ruined! So the next day I took her somewhere else and it went much smoother. But alas her level was pretty high, which meant she had to have a blood test everyday. Each day her level went even higher, and then they were really worried. So I had Jason give her a blessing that her levles would go back down. I really didnt want to admit her to the hospital. Sunday when I took her in for her test her level had gone done one point but it was enough to show that she was not going to need to be in hospital. So with all the worry and stress behind us we can now enjoy her. The kids just love her, and cant wait to hold her when they get a chance. Last night we had an unofficial photo shoot. She had her eyes open and was awake for a few minutes. The kids said, "she is like a real baby." Here are a few of those pictures.

Baby Cupcake is here!!!!

Well after all the waiting and problems with my pregnancy its finally over! Our new baby girl made her entrance into the world on Sept. 29th at 12:16 am! It was a very nice delivery, which included an ohh so wonderful epidural. Cambrie Tesa weighed in at 7lbs 1oz and is 19.5 inches long. The kids came that morning before school to meet their new sister. They all loved her and took turns holding and kissing her. We are getting used to no sleep and lots of diapers. But we wouldn't want it any other way. Thank you so much to all the people who have helped take care of our family. For loving our children when we couldn't be there for them. The old saying is true: It takes a village to raise a family.

It's September?

Wow where has this year gone? They say time flies when your having fun, so then I guess it zooms when you not! School started a few weeks ago and life sure is quiet with two kids in school. Corbin is loving school and all the people who get to listen to him talk, talk, talk. Cayden, the wall flower is excited to be in Kindergarten this year. She is learning quickly and loves to sing the songs that she learns in school. And every day when they leave for school Chance says "Where my pack pack?" But then he finds out that he gets all the toys to himself and things are great! The kids still swim as often as they can, and with the weather still hot why not. Seems like the heat will never leave for fall to arrive. I guess we have until the 22nd or so for the official day, but somehow I don't think that matters. At 29 weeks I was hospitalized for preterm labor and put on Magnesium Sulfate. All I can say is that was the worst week ever. When they nickname that stuff the death drug, they are not kidding. Your like a zombie laying there, unable to move let alone eat. But the outcome was that I am now almost 35 weeks pregnant! One more week of this home bound life and then I am going to do all I can to get this baby on the move. But then again maybe we should pick a name for this baby girl first? The kids are fine calling her baby Cupcake but I don't know if she will like it. Seems like in the past we pick a name just in time for delivery. Hey maybe if we have a name she will magically appear! Jason is back to work on Tues/Thurs and the rest of the week he works from home. Slowly but surely his life is seeming more normal. If you look back at how far he has come its quite remarkable. With the blessings of the Lord all things can be restored!

Long time no post!

Well its been awhile since I have updated my blog. Things have just been chugging along so well. The kids have spent their entire summer in the pool! We have had friends and family from out of town visit us, since we cant visit them. Our big adventures this summer were taking the kids out to breakfast and a trip to Costco! Who says you need to go to Disneyland? I can't believe that its August already, where has the time gone???? Jason has been doing so well, he is on crutches now and is able to drive himself! Yes, no more driving him around to all his doctor appointments! Although it was like we were on a date just the two of us with no kids. He is very motivated to get back to normal as soon as possible! He pushes him self very hard in psychical therapy that he still has 3 days a week. He is going to start working from home any day now, as soon as the doctor fills out some paper work. But of course then there is me! Now that I am 29 weeks my body decided that needed some excitement. Things have just been two easy around here I guess. About 3am this morning I woke up with contractions about 5 min apart. I waited almost an hour and then finally told myself to call the doctor. Of course he said to get to the hospital! So then I have to decide ok do I try and drive myself so Jason can stay with the kids? Well after 5 min of thinking that might work my contractions got strong enough that I had to breath thru them. So then the question was, Who do you call at 4am and say, Hey want to come over? Jen and Ken Thomson were so excited to come over and play. So of course when I do get to the hospital my OB had already called to see how I was. After several shots of medication, a few tests and several hours of laying around I was sent home. I will see my OB tomorrow for the official plan, which I am hoping is not total bed rest and more like home arrest. I do know that for me the goal is always to make it to 36 weeks. And that is just fine with me, I don't mind having little babies. So for now I take a wonderful medication Terbutaline that makes me shake with nervous energy while trying to hold still. Being filled with the nesting feeling of wanting to clean the house from top to bottom and organize every drawer or closet, doesn't help the resting that I need to do. But for now I know that the most important thing I can do is keep this little person inside for a while longer. That is what keeps me from going insane! This is just another temporary setback in our lives. This year has been pretty crazy, but the lessons we have learned and still learn are invaluable.
